Die Transkription lautet:

Non longe autem monastirium
fuit cuius congregationis pater defunctus est
omnesque ex illo congegatio ad eundem venerabilem
Benedictum uenit et magnis praetibus ut ei praeesse
deberet petiit. Qui diu negando distulit suis illorum
que fratrum moribus convenire non posse praedixit
sed vinctus quandoque praecipibus assensum dedit.
Übersetzung:

There was a monastery nearby where the abbot had died, and all the brothers came to the venerable Benedict and requested with great prayers that he come preside over them. He put them off for along time, warning them that his and their customs could not be reconciled. But he was eventually overcome by their prayers and agreed.

Watch out for the same features in this part of the passage as in the last: potentially unfamiliar orthrography ("praetibus" for "precibus" the first time it appears) and added syllables ("praecipibus" for "precibus" the second time it appears).
